ASQ Denver E-mail Policy

The purpose of this policy is to define and establish the rules and guidelines that will be followed when sending e-mail communications from the leadership of ASQ Denver Section 1300 to the general membership of ASQ Denver Section 1300. Nonmembers of ASQ Denver Section 1300 that have requested to receive e-mail communications from the leadership of ASQ Denver Section 1300 are not included within this policy.

This policy is to be reviewed annually by the ASQ Denver Section 1300 Board of Directors. The policy will be posted on the ASQ Denver web site.

ASQ Denver Section 1300 member e-mail addresses are considered private information and will not be released or sold for uses outside of ASQ Denver Section 1300 business by ASQ Denver Section 1300. Additional information is available in the ASQ (National) Policies and Procedures.

The allowable content of e-mail communication to the general membership of ASQ Denver Section 1300 is limited to section business, meeting announcements, and official programs, publications, and associations (i.e., CPEX, AQC, AQP, etc.) that are directly related to ASQ Denver Section 1300. Job announcements may be included, but are limited to a maximum of two lines.

Content that is specifically disallowed is advertising, offensive content, and any content that is unrelated to ASQ Denver Section 1300 business.

Only those members of ASQ Denver Section 1300 that have specifically requested to receive e-mail from ASQ Denver Section 1300 will receive e-mail communications from the leadership of ASQ Denver Section 1300. The request to receive e-mail is determined by a section e-mail preference of "Yes" maintained on the master membership database maintained by ASQ.

The allowable frequency of e-mails is generally no more than two per month. Exceptions to this frequency may be made by the chairperson of ASQ Denver Section 1300.

Each e-mail to the general membership of ASQ Denver Section 1300 will have instructions how to be removed from the e-mail list. (Change Section E-mail Preferences to "No" by sending an e-mail to cs@asq.org.)

All e-mails sent to the general membership of ASQ Denver Section 1300 will contain a link to the ASQ Denver Section 1300 e-mail policy.
